How effective they are, will take some testing.

I think that 1.3 introduced some caps on how much costs for Trading and Production Licences can grow, as well as costs for other things. Their problem will remain the double Fame point costs on warships. So that will remain a BIG advantage for them. If you play as the Trader (male or female) character, they do not need Trading Licences for all 60 towns, and only production licences for their own Nation.

I watched the Spanish TFs very carefully for many months in the Spanish Campaign, and their behavior was very similar from month to month. A warehouse in the Viceroy Capital makes it a lot easier to time your sales to get the best prices on CC. at as close to 0 Green Bar as you will get that month. Just after that is the BEST time of the month to sell a lot of CCs to the town Center to get the Best/Highest Prices, i.e. The moment that they load is easy to spot: it is when they stop moving and pull up their sails. From that you can figure out how much that they picked up each month. Watch the Capital town very carefully and get the amounts of the 4 colonial commodities (CC) in the Town Center Market, just before and after the TFs load their cargo. At the start of the French Campaign, the Viceroy wants 0 Cotton for Experience/Fame Points. Usually, the Viceroy demands and markets for that CC are lower than for other CC. A lot depends on what CC the Viceroy Capital produces locally in that town. The 2 Spanish TFs seemed to pick up about 45 (if there was enough to pick up.) I do not know yet how much the French TF loads each month. The Dutch TF seemed to pick up about 1800 total. Which is why there is some variability in their arrival times. I think that each Nation's Treasure Fleet(s) (2 for Spanish) arrives on the Game Map on the 1st day of the month and then have to travel to the Viceroy's Capital. I am not sure yet about the French, probably longer/later than the Spanish. The English and Dutch were around the 4th to 6th day of the month. The Spanish were around the the 7th to 9th day of the month. It is slightly different for each Nation, but always the same, within a day or two, for each Nation. And I have never enough money at that time to buy or build ships. May be as a hint: If you get the event for 1/2 price ship - maybe it is a good move to build frigates. Joe by simply build only one building - a tavern at the right place if he town is well supplied. Just for fun: You can have 2300 people in Port St. The effect is outstanding against prior runs. You should buy trading licences with all NL and most nearest english towns before you build any buildings in your home town.īy the time you had done this, maybe start of June you have 4 fame points for cheaper buildings.Īnd yes- you should every months deliver colonial wares for 100% fame - no matter of costs-įor the first time I use priorization in my trading convoy along my cost towns:Ĭolonial wares set to SELL only in New Orleans, raw materials set to 5 stars in producing towns and all goods in Port St. (Handicrafts Businesses will vary for each new game).Īt the moment I'am playing french campaign also. I think that I am missing Luxury Items at start. Galveston has Veggies, Sugar, Brick, Cotton (90%), Rum, Pastries, and Beer. Tampa has Fruit, Sugar, Coal, Beer, Ceramics, and Pastries. New Orleans has Wood, Corn, Cotton, Cloth, Clothing, Coal, and Pastries (very nice set).
Port royale 4 french campaign plus#
Pensacola can build Wood, Metalwares, and Furniture (for two 5% efficiency gains), plus Grain and Cotton.

Home Town is Port St Joe where I can build Metals, also Veggies and Ham, Hemp (90%), and Clothing.īiloxi can build Bricks, Hemp, Coffee, Tobacco (90%), and Cloth. Two other Concessions reduce the overall cost for Buildings. These 2 Concessions are needed in the 2nd set of Tasks to complete them. Then I immediately spent 4 Fame to get the Furniture Concession (I got a quest to build 2 Furniture Businesses in Pensacola) plus 2 more Fame to get the Architect Concession and Building Statics Concession that reduce the amount of Bricks needed for building anything. A couple days short of 2 game months to finish off the first set of Tasks (see message above) and start this set of Tasks.īy this point I had also earned 3 Fame from Experience (delivering Colonial Commodities to Viceroy and quests for towns) and 3 Fame for completing the first set of Tasks.
